Homework
In term 2, we are adding in some maths homework that the children have to do every week. The sheet that the children have to do are going to all be dated so that both you and the children know what homework is for what day.

This will really enhance our maths program at school.

Kind Regards,
Joy

Week 11 Assembly
We will be doing assembly together with Room 2 on Friday the 19th of April.

Room 3 will be sharing their experience of making our volcano and the stories we wrote based around that experience. The children have had the choice whether they would like to read their stories on stage or whether they would like to record their voices during class time.

The children who have chosen to speak infront of the audience will be having their stories typed up on a piece of card to take home and practice. There will also be a letter sent home about what children are to bring.

If your child brings home a card with their story, please practice this with them at home. We will be doing a couple of assembly practices to show the children exactly what to do on stage.

The children are really looking forward to this experience.

Regards,
Joy

Nits, Nits, Nits
I just wanted to give everyone the heads up that nits are going around at school. Could you please check your children regularly for nits.

Many Thanks,
Joy Kraan

Parent help
Firstly, thank you to all those who have already put their hands up for parent help this year! You do an amazing job and your help is greatly appreciated! If any of you are still thinking about coming in to do parent help, I would love to have an extra pair of hands when doing writing with the children.

Writing will occur on Monday and Wednesday from 11:10am-12pm and on Thursday from 12pm-12:50pm.

Thanks,
Joy Kraan

Drink bottles
Some children are coming to school without drink bottles. Please make sure your child has one with them every day.

Many Thanks,
Joy kraan

Goal setting letter
Please could you make sure that your child brings the letter with their strengths and weaknesses to school. These need to be returned to be used for the week 4 interviews.

Many Thanks,
Joy Kraan

Survey
Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Your child should have gone home today with a survey about his/her strengths and challenges. This will help us build a more accurate picture of your child to establish appropriate goals for them.

Please fill this in for your child and send it back to school in their bookbags.

Many Thanks,
Joy Kraan

Swimming days
Room 3 have their swimming slots on the following days:

  • Monday
  • Tuesday

Please make sure that your child takes his/her togs with them on these days.
Many Thanks,
Joy Kraan
