An event I enjoyed with my family

On Tuesday we did a writing sample about an event that the children enjoyed with their family.
The children did a really good job in creating their stories! Definitely something worth sharing!

Me and my sister and my mum went to a concert. It was fun and it was loud too!

 I went to the markets and I climbed on the rocks and I went to see the rocks. On the rocks there was a waterfall.

 I bought a new ball. It can bounce really high, and a golf ball. It doesn't bounce but I can kick it really high.

Free writing
Today the children spent some time in the afternoon writing words and tracing letters to the sound of piano music. The room was very quiet as they sat there concentrating on their letters.

Blake and Naoise were taking turns at writing. They worked together very well!

    Very handy. Have certainly struggled with descriptions of shapes for some letters.

    I really like the idea of free writing time, lying on the floor or however they are comfortable - what a relaxed enjoyable environment. This is how kids learn!! Thanks Joy.

    Serenity, What a wonderful colourful drawing of your camping with Dad. I love that mean looking mosquito. Lucky you both were zipped in tight. The beds look very comfortable. Top Marks love mum xox

      Thank you for your lovely comment on my writing mum! The mosquito that you saw was actually a rainy cloud. I really enjoyed roasting marshmallows on the camp fire. By Serenity.

    Yes Blake, the beach in the weekend was certainly an adventure with the big surf and rips at Omaha. That looks like the guard tower your lifeguard friend Laura was up on.

    I loved seeing all the stories and pictures from the room 3 kids! And Sam, you could play cricket with dad all day couldn't you!! And if not cricket then soccer or touch rugby!

    It's so nice to see everyone has been doing great things with their families. Luca spent that whole weekend just with Dad and Grandad because Nanna and I were away in Melbourne. The lego that Luca got was for being such a good boy while I was away and for being so helpful at home. Well done for all your hard work at school Luca.
